Spend the day in Apaneca ($175/ person), surrounded by lush coffee hills and endless adventure. At Café Albania, thrill meets nature with the iconic Rainbow Slide and the exciting Zip Line routes, including the bike, surfboard and canopy options. Get lost in the cypress maze, or slow down to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Salvadoran coffee with panoramic views of the highlands.
FISHING ADVENTURE:
Mid-sized vessel ($620 / 2 people, min 2), launch from Costa del Sol to try and catch red snapper, black snook, and rooster fish!

VOLCANO TOUR & LAGO COATEPEQUE
Hike to view one of El Salvador’s most active volcanos ($175/ person) , experience the visually stunning microclimates of the volcano slopes, and finish the afternoon jumping into the turquoise crater lake of Coatepeque.
SURF LESSONS
($55 / session) Jump into our pristine Pacific ocean in our year round sand beach and learn to surf! The waters just in front of the hotel are calmer and perfect for learning while the point / rivermouth setup just down the beach is perfect for more advanced surfers!

Kids can easily make the hike down to wade in the picturesque pools of the 3 Tamanique waterfalls, while older teens and adults can rappel to the most beautiful parts of the river valley.
COFFEE TASTING / CUPPING EXPERIENCE
($130/ person) Take a journey through the different types of coffee that El Salvador produces, learn about the history of coffee cultivation, figure out your favorite coffee flavor profile, and learn about the scoring system used to grade the highest quality coffee in the world. All this from our resident coffee expert who designed the menu for our organic cafe!
LEARN TO MAKE PUPUSAS
($25 / person) Learn from the best! 50 years of pupusa experience are passed down by our cooks in this family friendly activity where you make the famous pupusas of El Salvador. All ingredients are provided for a fun and filling afternoon!
MAYAN RUINS
($180 / person) Venture into El Salvador’s rich Mayan history and visit one of the oldest civilization outposts in the Americas. The ancient city of Tazumel represented the southern boundary of the Mayans in Central America, and our expert tour offers a snapshot into the rich cultural heritage of the region!
YOGA
Expert yoga teachers help advanced yogis improve their practice and guide beginners or surfers through routines that enhance alignment, flexibility, and fitness.
(Between $10 and $15 / person) General practices are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5–6 p.m. Practice and mats are included for Garten Hotel guests, or $10 / person for the public.
